PIAZZA DANTE PARK Splash Pad

Piazza Dante Park Splash Pad is the epitome of an urban park.  The lovely square is completely paved and bordered by tables and benches.  The splash pad is a group of eight fountains set in a star in the middle of the square.  It’s a fairly simple pad with a long cycle.

There is shade and plenty of places to sit in this square, but not much else to entertain little splashers.  It’s also located at the intersection of two very busy streets if containment is a concern.

MORRISON PARK Splash Pad

Morrison Park Splash Pad is a simple pad featuring a tall aquadome and three small sprays.  It took us a few tries to get the aquadome to turn on.

The park itself is quite nice.  It’s shaded and has swings, a gazebo, a playstructure, and plenty of room to sit.

CLAUDETTE CAIN PARK Splash Pad

Claudette Cain Park Splash Pad is a newer, fun pad with many fun structures and a long cycle.  It’s main attractions are several tall flower posts.

The splash pad is located at one end of the sprawling, beautiful Claudette Cain Park.  This wooded park is nestled along the river and is well worth a visit.  There is tons of shade, a large gazebo with tables, two playstructures, two port-a-potties, and a system of paved paths running through the park.  This is a place where you could easily pass a day. read more

STONECREST PARK Splash Pad

Stonecrest Park Splash Pad is a new, basic splash pad full of sprinklers and jets guaranteed to get you wet.  Be careful – the water pressure on the structures changes during the cycle and they rotate quickly.  You will get surprised by water here!

The splash pad is located in a busy park next to a community centre.  There is a toddler play area with a playstructure and swings, and a larger play structure and swing set.

CITY CENTRE PARK Splash Pad

City Centre Park Splash Pad is a basic but fun pad featuring a rainbow arch, a tall aquadome post, and some fountains.  The water pressure can get pretty high at times.  This splash pad is listed as “OPEN with known issues” in the city of ottawa open data, but when we went there, the splash pad seemed to be working just fine.

There are two playstructures at the park and a gazebo for shade.

WESTCLIFFE PARK Splash Pad

Westcliffe Park Splash pad is a basic pad featuring some ground fountains and jets.  The water pressure is impressive – some of the water sprayed up as tall as the surrounding trees.

The splash pad is located on top of a hill beside a community centre.  At the bottom of the hill is a shaded play area with swings and several structures.
