BANDMASTER PARK Splash Pad

Bandmaster Park Splash Pad is a new splash pad with an very interesting structure.  The pad’s main feature is something called an Aqualien Rainforest – a tall six post structure that has three central flower posts and three taller dumping flower posts that spill onto the shorter flowers.  It’s certainly a novel structure to play under and to admire.

Bandmaster is a spacious park with lots of room to run and a playstructure.

BRADLEY RIDGE Splash Pad

Bradley Ridge Splash Pad is a brand new splash pad that isn’t on the City of Ottawa splash pad list yet (at the time of visiting).  It has some fancy structures – two leafs and a spinning flower – but it’s a fairly basic pad.  When the start button is pressed all the structures spray at the same time.

As it’s a new park there isn’t a great deal of shade, but there is a nice playstructure and some attractive landscaping.

Thanks to Beca for writing in and letting us know there’s a gazebo! read more

DIAMOND JUBILEE Splash Pad

Diamond Jubilee Splash Pad really is a jewel of a park.  It’s by far one of the larger and most creative splash pads we’ve encountered to date.  There are a variety of unique structures that spray on a cycle.  We especially liked the footing – seems to be a softer type of concrete – and the fact that this large splash pad has an area with lower water structures…perfect for hesitant splashers.

GLEN PARK Splash Pad

A nice splash pad in an urban playground. The green leafy mist and the yellow flower cup add a splash of nature surrounded by several schools.

FAIRFIELD PARK Splash Pad

Fairfield Park Splash Pad is a newer pad whose best feature is two tall yellow daisy posts that dome water out the top.

HUNTLEY CENTENNIAL (CARP) Splash Pad

Huntley Centennial Splash Pad is a new splash pad in Carp with many fun structures.  The cycle was quite long and it was easy to get very, very wet.  There is a gazebo for shade.
