BLUE WILLOW PARK Splash Pad

They painted a cool orange and blue swirl on the ground at Blue Willow Park Splash Pad and that makes all the difference.

VISTA PARK Splashpad

Vista Park has a brand new splash pad in Avalon South. When we visited (July 14, 2013), this splash pad wasn’t even listed on the city website or on Google Maps yet! (You can check out the park specs here on the city of Ottawa website.)

A lot of cool things about this park. We loved how they had 4 spray loops in a twist (so it looks like a spiral.) They also have a drinking fountain nearby that includes a spot on the side to rinse your feet and fill up water buckets!

The water pressure here isn’t as strong as some other parks (check out the wall of water from the spray loops at Sir Wilfred Laurier Park) but there’s so much going on here, that this urban water park still rocks. read more

SILVERBIRCH PARK Splash Pad

A nice quiet little splash pad with a red archway and a couple of ground sprinklers. (We really like the pretty star shape spray pattern that these loops make.) There’s a picnic table under a gazebo nearby as well as a regular play structure.

GLEN PARK Splash Pad

A nice splash pad in an urban playground. The green leafy mist and the yellow flower cup add a splash of nature surrounded by several schools.

BORDELEAU PARK Splash Pad

Updated: June 7, 2019

This splash pad is at the park right beside the Chinese Embassy and the Rideau River. There’s a play structure and tennis courts beside the splash pad.

We had fun at this splash pad. Really impressed with how high some of the ground water jets go. (They shoot higher than the water park structures.) The blue circle start button is on the ground right in the center of where all of the directional water jets are pointing at, so you’re bound to get wet.

They made it so the water naturally runs down the side, under a foot bridge, and into the river. Kinda cool. read more

HEATHERINGTON PARK Splash Pad

Heatherington Park Splash Pad is a fairly new pad in an older park.  The splash pad features a trio of dumping buckets, an arch, and a few sprays of water.

The park has a lot of shade, a gazebo for picnics, and some structures to play on.
